Privacy Policy
Effective November 2, 2026
The short version: JotSketch does not collect, store or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking. Your notebooks stay on your devices and in your own iCloud account, where we can't see them.
This policy explains how JotSketch (“the app”), made by Daedalus TCG LLC (“we”, “us”), handles information. It applies to the app on iPhone, iPad and iPhone Duo, and to this website.
Information we collect
None. The app doesn't ask for your name, email address, location, contacts, photos or any other personal information, and it doesn't create an account. Nothing you write is sent to us.
Your notebooks
Your notebooks, pages and handwriting are saved on your device. If you're signed in to iCloud, they also sync between your devices through your private iCloud database (Apple's CloudKit). That data is stored by Apple under your Apple Account, under Apple's privacy policy, and we can't read it. Signed out of iCloud, your notebooks stay on the device. Deleting the app deletes them from that device; notebooks kept in iCloud can be removed in your device's iCloud storage settings.
Handwriting search
To make your handwriting searchable, the app reads it on your device with Apple's built-in handwriting recognition. The text it reads is kept with your notebook, syncs with it through your iCloud, and is never sent to us. Locked notebooks are never read.
Locked notebooks
When you open a locked notebook, iOS checks your Face ID, Touch ID or passcode. The app only learns whether the check succeeded; it never receives your face, fingerprint or passcode.
Settings on your device
The app keeps your settings on your device, such as light or dark appearance, your pen colors and palette, where your pen tray sits, and the notebook and page you were on, so it can open where you left off. They aren't sent to us.
Analytics, advertising and tracking
The app contains no advertising, no analytics and no third-party code. We don't track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we don't sell or share any data.
Children
The app collects no data from anyone, including children.
Contacting support
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use it only to reply to you, and we don't add you to any mailing list.
This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party fonts or scripts. Like any web server, our hosting provider may keep standard, short-lived server logs (such as IP addresses) to run and protect the service.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
